9 More Months!

I still have an endless list of things to do for the wedding. The last month or so, i did nothing. Life stopped as my attention moved to another love of mine...basketball games. And now i am staring at my list -- frustrated that time is flying by me while my list is not getting any shorter nor less complicated.

First things first....my gown (need to look for the designer MEANT for me), the cake (i should go give them a call again because the supplier i wanted never returned my call), my make-up artist and the band (ask for a demo cd).

I am a bit irritated with trying to get a suitable make-up artist. I thought i had the perfect guy in mind. As it turns out, he isn't as inexpensive as i thought he would be. He might increase his prices by next year (i was given the impression that he can just ask for an increase whenever it suits him) and he doens't do "trials" or the "full trial" (in his own words --"i get my insipiration on the day itself" and "it's not easy to lay out all the make up that is to be used on the day of the wedding"). And it seemed like he assumed that he would be considered as one of the guests (free cocktails and food--our buffet!). My fiance's family has known him for ages but as i sit here i realize that hiring him would cause me more problems than relief.
